Bali visa questions

Can I extend my Bali visa on arrival (e-VOA)?

Yes, once. The e-VOA gives you 30 days and can be extended one time for 30 more days, for a total of 60 days. The extension needs one in-person visit to the immigration office, so start it well before your visa expires.

Can I work in Bali on a tourist visa?

No. Tourist and visit visas do not allow any work in Indonesia, including remote work for a long stay. If you work for clients or an employer abroad while living in Bali, the Remote Worker KITAS (E33G) is the right visa.

Which visa do I need to stay in Bali for 6 months?

The C1 Visit Visa gives you 60 days and can be extended twice, for up to 180 days in total. If you plan to leave and come back several times, a D1 multiple-entry visa may suit you better.

How long does a Bali visa take?

It depends on the visa. Visit visas are usually processed in days, while a KITAS can take several weeks. Processing times change during the year, so we give you a current estimate when you contact us.

Do I need to be in Bali to apply?

No. Most Indonesian visas are applied for online before you travel, and you receive an e-visa by email. Some steps, like visa extensions, are done once you are in Bali.
